چکیده
In this paper, we simulate an observed mountain wave event over central Europe and investigate the subsequent generation, propagation, phase speeds spatial scales, momentum deposition of secondary waves under three different tidal wind conditions. We find breaks just below lowest critical level in mesosphere. As breaks, it extends outwards along phases fluid associated with breaking flows downstream its original location by 500–1,000 km. The generates a broad range horizontal scales ranging from instability (20–300 km), to multiples packet scale (420 km+) 40 150 m/s lower thermosphere. morphology consists semi-concentric patterns propagation generally opposing local winds Shears cause forcing which even more waves. also influence dominant wavelengths that reach thermosphere deposit their energy area thermosphere, mostly eastward source concentrated between 110 130 km altitude. is significant will likely be very important for dynamics A large portion comes nonlinearly generated at relatively small-scales arise processes.

Numerical Simulation of Wave Breaking
Wave breaking is important for understanding of both sea wave dynamics and microwave scattering/emission of the ocean. Experimental studies of breaking waves are mostly related to tank measurements and to a lesser extent to field observations [1, 2]. Theoretical results regarding wave breaking are mostly obtained by numerical simulation [3]. Comparison of those with tank experiments leads to th...

Breakwaters have changed a lot during their design history. Overtopping is an important parameter that its evaluation and reduction has always been noticed. In this study, the wave overtopping of composite berm breakwater as a new conceptual structure has been investigated numerical modeling was performed using FLOW-3D software. Then, based on a laboratory model conducted by Losada et al, cali...
متن کاملNumerical Simulation of Random Irregular Waves for Wave Generation in Laboratory Flumes
Understanding of wave hydrodynamics and its effects are important for engineers and scientists. Important insights may be gained from laboratory studies. Often the waves are simulated in laboratory flumes do not have the full characteristics of real sea waves. It is then necessary to present reliable methods of wave generation in wave flumes. In this paper, the results of numerically simulate...
متن کاملSimulation of Wave Propagation over Coastal Structures Using WCSPH Method
In this paper a space-averaged Navier–Stokes approach was deployed to simulate the wave propagation over coastal structures. The developed model is based on the smoothed particle hydrodynamic (SPH) method which is a pure Lagrangian approach and can handle large deformations of the free surface with high accuracy. In this study, the large eddy simulation (LES) turbulent model was coupled with th...
متن کاملExperimental and Numerical Studies on Wave Breaking Characteristics over a Fringing Reef under Monochromatic Wave Conditions
Fringing reefs play an important role in protecting the coastal area by inducing wave breaking and wave energy dissipation. However, modeling of wave transformation and energy dissipation on this topography is still difficult due to the unique structure. In the present study, two-dimensional laboratory experiments were conducted to investigate the cross-shore variations of wave transformation, ...
